Company backs Dabaris

HAVING good corporate support is crucial for the sustainability of a franchise in the country’s premier rugby league competition, the Digicel Cup.
With that in mind, Vitis Industries has assured the Central Dabaris’ bid team of their support in their 2019 Digicel Cup bid.
Public relations officer Buri Gabi said: “Working with the Dabaris bid team is part of our obligation to support community activities,” Gabi said.
“We feel we have to support them in whatever activities they engage in. We want to help them identify rugby league talent.
“We will be available when they go out to the communities and spread the word about the Dabaris.
“Central is one area in the country where it all started. Rugby league first came to the Papuan region and Central before going to other provinces.
“But it the following has gone down over the years because of a lack of support.
“I believe the Dabaris can develop Central players to the Kumuls and Hunters systems.”
Gabi said Vitis would be making an announcement on its support of the Dabaris next month.
