This is one of the classrooms at Mare Primary School in Wampar local level government, Huon Gulf.
It badly needs to be repaired and refurbished.
Money received from the Government through its tuition fee free programme is not enough to pay for the maintance and upkeep of the school buildings.
Head teacher Robbie Tangabi said most of the school buildings are made of untreated timber and have succumb to the weather.
Most of the buildings were built in the 1980s.
