THIS is a temporary bridge over the dangerously fast Yaika River connects remote Andakombi Station and Boiko village in Eastern Highlands.
Kude Kol, a local teacher at Andakombi Primary School, said more than 200 students crossed this bridge to go to and from school every day.
“It is very risky because it is made of bush materials,” he said.
“Even travellers use this bridge to cross the river.”
The bridge looks as if it would collapse soon. – Picture courtesy of Kude Kol
