Security firm donates truck to Adventist church in Kainantu

A TRUCK worth K110,000 was presented to the Seventh-day Adventis Church in the Kainantu-Agarabi local level government area of Kainantu by security firm Asila Security Ltd (ASL) in Lae on Wednesday.
The presentation was done by managing director of the firm Michael Pa’a to the Bilimoia community – the landowners of the Kainantu gold mine.
The church serves three big communities, Bilimoia one, two and three, which is made up of 10 clans with a population of nearly 3000.
Landowner Gonki Peuti, one of the directors of landowner company Bildevco said the communities appreciated the gift.
ASL general manager Rubi Kolin said the security firm had a joint venture with mine landowners.
Within the five months of the operation in the area, the company identify that most from the communities belonged to Seventh-day and there was a need for a truck.
“The community of Bilimoia did not requested for a truck but we saw the need and want to establish our relationship with them,” Kolin said.
