A GOVERNMENT by Somare, O’Neill and Namah or Namah alone will not be good for PNG.
This is an open letter to the new and re-elected members and those yet to be declared.
You have answered the prayers of the silent majority who have been praying for new leaders who are wise and willing to serve the people.
In the coming weeks, you will be required to team up with any of the leading parties to form a coalition government.
We ask  you to consider the following:
l    A government led by the Grand Chief will achieve nothing perhaps for the next three years be-cause most of the time, public re-sources and money will be spent on dealing with issues relating to the recent political impasse;
l    A government led by O’Neill and Namah will also achieve no-thing for the first year due to the above issue; and
l    A government by O’Neill without Namah will deliver but from the past 10 months’ record, huge spending had indicated that the government will run into huge budget deficits.
For the record, Don Polye was with the Somare and O’Neill governments and has seen the good and bad sides.
It is some people’s wish and prayers for Polye to become the next prime minister.
