GLAMOUR Lae Rugby League club Morobe Tigers on Saturday received a new set of uniforms worth K20,000 from Executive Security System (ESS Security).
The club has three divisions — Under-20 men, women and the A Grade — participating in the Lae Rugby League competition.
The Morobe Tigers broke in their new uniforms with a win over Niugini Pots 21C Panthers over the weekend to secure the second spot on the Lae league ladder.
ESS owner John Rosso, who is also Lae MP, presented the jerseys to team manager Jacob Taman and players.
Rosso said he was happy to support local sports clubs whenever he could.
He said his management at ESS had decided to back the club which had players from Papuan Compound. Rosso said ESS was also helping rugby union and soccer clubs in the community.
Taman thanked Rosso for his support. He said having new jerseys would boost player morale.
