A SMALL business owner in Morobe has thanked the Government for allocating money for small-to-medium enterprise (SME) loans to banks for people to access and grow their businesses.
Henry Yembi, from Kubalia in East Sepik, who lives in Lae, has a stationery supplies business and also runs a bus service.
He bought two new Toyota Coaster buses through a SME loan at Kina Bank last week.
His two new buses increases his fleet to five which service the Back Road area in Lae.
“There are funds available to help our SMEs and micro SMEs but many people still don’t know how to access these funds,” Yembi said.
“People who have small businesses can go to the banks and talk to them.
“They are very helpful and will guide you through to access these funds and help grow your businesses.”
He thanked Kina Bank for helping secure the funding.
“I will do my best and repay the money with interest within a year.”
Yembi also thanked his loyal customers from Back Road, drivers and crew who were also behind his success.
“There are right channels to follow to get help.”
