Vile woman
A BIT of bantering going on among office colleagues yesterday after police revealed that the “vile” woman videotaped abusing a toddler last week was indeed the juvenile aunt. Police say she is 16. Mercy!
Early campaigning
IT WILL be fun to see how MPs will react if the sudden increase in project launchings is classed as early campaigning, and stopped.
Growing center
THE business center opposite the big roundabout at 8-Mile is developing fast. It now has a medical center, pokies, two bars and shops. A police post may be next. Wow!
Job queue
THERE was a queue of young people outside the gate at the growing 8-Mile business center yesterday waiting for their interviews. Just shows how badly we need more jobs for young people leaving school, which new major investments will generate. Richest black Christian nation, where art thou?
That forgetful
HOW embarrassing it is to forget someone’s name a few seconds after he or she tells you. You wish the earth will open up right there to swallow you whole.
PM’s dad
JUST last Friday when he signed a deal to give PNG K1.8 billion to upgrade our major ports, Australian PM Scott Morrison told of how his dad used to unload cargo from Australia vessels at the Port Moresby wharf during World War Two. On Sunday, he was told his dad had passed away. RIP, war hero!
Food for thought
I FALL, I rise. I make mistakes, I learn. I have been hurt, but I am alive. I am human. I am not perfect but I am thankful.
Top quote
“ONCE we get rid of guns, we will find peace and happiness. It is the weapon used by Satan to destroy God’s people. Warring tribes should do away with the guns.” – Highlands Eastern End police commander Assistant Police Commissioner Joseph Tondop.
