VOTE for leaders with integrity and who have a desire to serve the people and not their own interest, a senior pastor says.
Body of Christ chairman Pastor Joseph Walters said this was a crucial time for people to vote for their leaders, some people would want to vote for relatives or friends but people needed to vote individuals who could make the most positive change over a five-year term.
“A leader who can completely serve the people and can represent you in Parliament and not just talking and not doing things,” he said.
Walters said people should not be blinded with short term benefits and money, but consider the potential for long-term suffering with a poor choice on the ballot.
He said the country had gone through a lot of challenging times with the election and people needed to seek God’s mercy.
He urged all the pastors, elders and Christians not only to pray for the election but also for protection against corruption and violence.
Walters quoted from the second Book of Peter which urges Christians to remember that the Lord keeps his promises.
