THE introduction of the 3G network in Papua New Guinea is creating a marketing platform for mobile phone dealers and enabled users to go online, Fone Haus general manager Gregory Yeo says.

He said this in Port Moresby last Friday after the mobile phone retailer and distributor launched Philips smart phones into the market.

“Fone Haus has introduced more than 100 brands of smart phones into the PNG market to cater for the 3G network,” Yeo said.

“Philips is a global brand which Fone Haus has had partnership with since it first opened its doors in the region.

“Fone Haus strived to provide distinctive quality and Philip’s range of ‘smart phones’ not only provided consumers with a better choice, but were innovatively designed and packed with the latest technology available in the market.”

PNG Namba Wan Trophy Ltd (NWTL) Group general manager Jim Gui said: “We have secured distributorship of the Philips smart phones in PNG and in the Pacific.

“NWTL and Fone Haus will continue to range brands in future to meet our market.”
