A LEADER of an Incorporated Land Group in Southern Highlands is concerned about the delay in the review of the agreement for the Moran petroleum project.

Deputy chairman of the Honge Incorporated Land Group (central Moran PDL5) Paul Ipakasa was reacting to a newspaper report stating that the reviews would wait until the Government found the money to carry them out.

The statement was made by Petroleum and Energy Minister William Duma (pictured) in response to questions raised by Kagua-Erave MP James Lagea in Parliament.

Ipakasa said the flow of oil at the Moran project had been in operation for the past three years under an expired agreement.

He said the agreement was made in 2010 and urged the Department of Petroleum and Energy to review it.

He said he was speaking on behalf of 1,200 people in the land group.
