Best citizens are in civil service, Sir Puka says

SIR Puka Temu has praised public servants saying some of the best citizens are in the civil service.
“I admire the role that civil servants play since well before Independence,” he said.
He handed over the Personnel Management ministry to new minister Elias Kapavore in a ceremony on Monday.
Sir Puka takes over the Ministry of Health and HIV/AIDS in the new Peter O’Neill-led government.
He said the gender equity policy which promoted the empowerment of women society must be supported.
“The policy is one of the most important instruments that this nation needs to take by the horn and move forward,” Sir Puka said.
