20 Covid-19 cases reported

PAPUA New Guinea (PNG) reported 20 new Coronavirus (Covid-19) cases from Friday to Monday bringing the country’s total infections to 17,832.
There were 15 new cases on Friday, five on Saturday and zero on Sunday and Monday.
According to a National Control Centre media statement, the cases were reported in seven provinces, in Western where three new Delta variant cases have been detected.
However, the statement did not identify whether the three new infections in Western on Friday were Delta infections.
The provinces reporting new cases on Friday were Chimbu (six cases), Western (three), West Sepik (two), East New Britain, West New Britain, Western Highlands and Madang each reported a single case.
Those infected were 11 men and four women aged between 17 and 60.
