SIXTY-seven organisations in Papua New Guinea are represented in the PNG Association of Administrative Professionals national conference in Kokopo, East New Britain.

About 400 participants from the organisations and national departments, mostly women, are engaged in the conference.

Among the women are 13 men.

The participants have been urged to improve punctuality at work, encouraged to dress up suitably.

Speaking at the conference yesterday, managing director of Tropicana Ltd Sandra Lau told the participants that she was pleased to see more women engaging in such a conference to assist each other improve their jobs and empower each other to perform to the best they can.

“We women can do almost everything, we are more responsible and the success of our families depends on us. Collect all points raised during this conference and take them back to your respective provinces to assist in service delivery,” she said.

Sir Ronald Tovue, while addressing the conference, appreciated the women and few men for being professionals behind the scenes.

“You are the ones who meet the problems and solve them. The country is in your hands.

“You will have to work hard to contribute to the development of the country,” he said.
