6 men held after 6 girls raped

SIX men have been arrested and four others are being sought after the alleged rape of six schoolgirls in Mt Hagen on Saturday evening.
Western Highlands police commander Martin Lakari said the girls were returning from a church function when they were attacked.
The girls were accompanied by two boys. They were attacked at the school gate and dragged into the bushes.
“We have arrested six of those suspects, now in police custody, and four are still at large,” Lakari said.
He said the girls were students at Hagen Park Secondary School.
An unconfirmed report said two girls managed to escape.
Police said the girls were being treated at the Mt Hagen General Hospital.
