Kickboxing association hosts inter-district trials

The Eastern Highlands Kickboxing Association is hosting a three-day inter-district selection trial which starts today in Goroka.
This is the seventh inter-district competition to select the best fighters to represent Eastern in the PNG Games in Kimbe from November 26 to December 7. Eastern Highlands Kickboxing Association president Gideon Timothy said the fighters who would be participating in the tournament were from the eight districts in the province.
Coordinator and head coach of Eastern Highlands Kickboxing Association Kaupa Omena, who manages and runs the affairs for kick-boxing in Eastern Highlands, will be in-charge to run the trial matches.
Other districts not mentioned still have the chances to participate and can register today before weighing and draws are finalised.
Fighters from Goroka: Nato Tupa, Roy Joseph, Arux Hanku, Luke Goiye, Terence Lapu, Akando Kusari and Hamaile Jim.
Unggai Bena will be represented by Samson Kunu, Jordan Willa, Andrew Samuel, Jerome Sefo, Elvin Gettie, Kazy John, Soti Gettie, Dausonia William and Ammy William. Akando  Kusari and Hawie Turi will represent Okapa while Fresha John and Mike Jondi  are from Lufa.
Fighters from Henganofi are Ako Murray, Behe’enofa Murray and Hamaile Jim.
