Juffa refutes sack claims
PAPUA New Guinea Rugby Football League interim committee member Gary Juffa said he did not make any statement in a radio interview about sacking the national selectors.
A disappointed Juffa said he was surprised at claims in a story run last Tuesday that he had said on NBC radio that the national selectors would be sacked after the PNG Kumuls’ 76-12 loss to New Zealand.
“I never ever at any one time stated on any radio station that I would get rid of the selectors,” Juffa said.
“The media in Papua New Guinea unfortunately is falling into the same trap that media in the west has already, writing fast food non-useful information that merely incites public emotions.”
