Poor-quality products worry Mori

COMMERCE and Industry Minister Wera Mori says the quality of products and services in the country continue to be a concern.
“The ongoing import of substandard products and services continue to be the fundamental challenge,” he said.
“This is a result of weakly resourced institutions watching our borders and facilitating trade on our behalf.”
He was speaking during the launch of the Commonwealth Standards Network project by a team from the British Standards Institute. Mori said K3 million project funded by the United Kingdom would help advance the standards of infrastructure. It is to build capacity and best practice in terms of infrastructure standards.
