Time to stand tall

Letters

TO all landowners of the resource extracting areas, before you run the risk of resource exploitation in your own areas and even for the country this is the time to call on the government to enact better policies with those companies in accordance with what you really deserve. These foreign companies are becoming very cunning beasts when dealing with ministers and responsible people who are in charge.
You never know what is really happening in the offices.
These companies are potential arbitrages and becoming giant lucrative operators as they continue to exit PNG territories.
The scraps left for you landowners are of no value to them. Landowners, it’s your time to really call on for much better benefits before it is too late.
These minerals are non-renewable resources, when they are gone, its forever. Therefore, you the bona fide landowners, you really deserve better compensations and benefits for long-term sustainability.
Landowners, it’s very imperative to make an early call before they become established. It’s your time to stand tall in the country now.
It’s not good to see and talk about what had happened in the past in this regard.
If we do, we will continue to be handicapped, nothing new will happen.
Today is the time to make your moves.
