OK TEDI Mining Ltd (OTML) commenced its annual training roadshow at three tertiary institutions in Port Moresby last week to inform students about the company and the training programmes available in 2020.
Training officer Moses Nickson said: “As part of 2019’s preparation to recruit new intakes for 2020, OTML visited tertiary institutions to showcase its training programmes.
“OTML is an employer of choice but we have a stringent process in recruiting the best of the best.”
The presentation covered an overview of OTML operations highlighting the Ok Tedi Way, One Team Wan Pasin, OTML training programmes’ background information, entry requirements, recruitment and selection processes and criteria and expectations for screening applicants.
The programmes on offer include the graduate development scheme, the apprenticeship training programme, the under-graduate scholarship programme and the preferred area development training.
The team will visit other institutions in the coming weeks.
