CHIEF Justice Sir Salamo Injia should step aside to allow a tribunal to verify the charges against him.
The power struggle will continue as long as he keeps on denying these charges and continues to execute his duties.
His high office must remain clean and impartial.
His failure to step aside has raised many eyebrows as he clings onto power.
Does he want a tribunal consisting of judges from foreign countries to hear his case?
The O’Neill-led regime has spoken clearly and precisely through its lawyers.
The chief justice and his fellow judges have to comply so that we have a vibrant constitution with the three arms of government doing what it is supposed to do – conducting check and balance on each other without one arm becoming too powerful.
Papua New Guineans must not be deceived by the guise of upholding the Constitution and allowing evil to triumph in our country’s highest judicial office.
