Less talk, more action this year: PM

THIS year is about less talk and more action, Prime Minister James Marape says.
Marape made the statement during the Government’s first meeting of department heads, agency heads and chief executive officers of statutory bodies and State-owned enterprises.
He said this year, “was the time to eliminate complacency and corruption in all departments who should work to deliver services.
Marape said his job was to lead, inspire and steer and called on leaders to align their plans for this year to ensure that the country reached its dream of becoming one of the “richest black Christian nation where no child is left behind”.
“To make Papua New Guinea the ‘richest black Christian nation where no child is left behind’ doesn’t have to happen in my time.
“But we can archive it in time if we set our priorities right and work towards it.”
Meanwhile, the Government accounts opened yesterday.
