Fast track entitlements

Letters

I AM a retired prison officer who is still waiting for my final entitlements after 33 years of service to the country.
I went to the Correctional Service headquarters on Jan 24 this year and have been enquiring for two months with no response.
I travelled back home to Mendi on March 14.
Can the good commissioner tell me when I will be able to get my final entitlements?
The commander of the Buiyebi CS wants me to vacate the house I am living in with my family.
I am not going to move out until my final entitlements are paid.

  • This is happening to so many retired public servants throughout the country. This is definitely not right. You need to be treated well. The benefits you’re waiting for are not just some kind of golden handshake. The retirement benefits are purely your entitlements. The commanding officer at Buiyeby CS must make it his business to assist the officer. Officer: If this is the kind of treatment given to you after this many years of service, I would rather continue to live in the house, until you’re given your benefits by CIS.
