CS pass out parade was colourful

Letters

ON June 11, about 100 Correctional Services recruits passed out from the training college in Bomana, Port Moresby.
The parade was colourful with magnificent outfits by officers of all ranks.
The parade ground was arranged in perfect ceremonial order that adorned our provincial flags as well as the Correctional Services’ flag.
In 1971, about 44 years ago on that parade ground, the first six pioneer Correctional Services officer cadets passed out to the rank of officers.
Thank you to the members of the PNG Defence Force and the police for assisting the trainers in training the recruits that resulted in the most discipline and colourful passing out parade that I ever witnessed in a long time.
To those who passed out, continue to uphold the tradition of the Correctional Services.
Serve with loyalty and pride.
