IT is interesting to note National Capital District Governor and Vipers club patron Powes Parkop’s statement on the Port Moresby Vipers joining the New South Wales (NSW) Cup.
Be a local champion first before even thinking about NSW Cup.
If the Vipers cannot be competitive in the local competition, then how can they expect to perform at that higher level?
Let us be realistic and talk sense.
Today’s Vipers team is a shadow of the deadly and glorious Vipers of the past.
Recruit well, remove politics and play well in the local competition first and then graduate into the next level.
