TEAM East New Britain is ready to receive other provincial teams that will be coming to ENB in November for the national grassroots Games.
The ENB team will soon be finalised after potential athletes and players have been identified during a mini game that was held at Vunakanau, Gazelle district last weekend.
Speaking during the game, ENB Governor Ereman ToBaining said he fully supported Team ENB as the people who mandated him to take former governor Leo Dion’s place.
He said despite the challenge issued by the Governor for National Capital District Powes Parkop recently for team ENB to be ready, he was confident team ENB was capable of being the best in the upcoming games.
He urged the team to take training seriously and appealed to team members to assist each other in preparation.
He said he has pressured the technical team working on the Takubar sport grounds to ensure work was completed in the next two weeks.
“Time is against us and people responsible to get the work done have to work tirelessly in the next two weeks,” he said.
He thanked all those leading team ENB and urged them to ensure the team were nourished well before the games began.
He also called on the people of ENB to take pride and support the team during preparation.
More than 500 members are expected in the team.
