Ela Motors expands support to NCDC

ELA Motors PNG has expanded its sponsorship to help the National Capital District Commission (NCDC) with a donation of 400 new safety vests worth K12,400.
The car dealer donated the items which will be worn by city hall employees for the commission’s “Keep Port Moresby clean” campaign.
The initiative aims to keep the city’s main public areas, including roads, central business districts and shop fronts clean and safe for residents.
Badili dealership manager Justin Wilkie was pleased to hand over the vests and said safety was a priority for the company.
“On behalf of Ela Motors, we would like to present these safety vests to safeguard your staff in their operation,” he said.
“Safety is a part of Ela Motors and the Japanese culture and our daily operations are deeply rooted with the safety-first culture as our fundamental value.”
Wilkie said the safety vests would be utilised to safeguard and identify NCDC’s roadside cleaners by moving vehicles and pedestrians.
He urged drivers to maintain a safe distance from the workers on site to minimise any potential roadside accidents.
NCDC acting city manager Ravu Frank expressed gratitude and appreciation to Ela Motors for the sponsorship assistance.
“The gesture has shown through this donation represents the business Ela Motors as a responsible corporate citizen in ensuring that the safety of the workers are secured,” he said.
