ANTONIO Narokobi was awarded the Commissioner General’s Certificate of recognition for representing Papua New Guinea during an expo in Dubai recently.
The 13-year-old boy was selected by PNG pavilion as a young PNG representative at the youth ambassador’s event.
The PNG pavilion team was unable to bring a young PNG representative to Dubai due to cost and time.
The team therefore selected Antonio and his family, who lived in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to take part in the event organised by the United Nation’s pavilion.
His father worked at the Abu Dhabi Aviation as an aircraft engineer.
He had been living and working in UAE since 2009.
