GIGIRA Laitepo Morobe United hosts their last Telikom National Soccer League match against a red hot Hekari United tomorrow at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium.

Hekari beat Besta PNG United 5-0 two days ago at the same venue to claim the competition’s minor premiership, and will use this match to add another two points to the 32 points they have amassed.

The Morobe camp looked confident after their 2-0 victory over NC Civil Works Oro at the same venue.

Morobe team manager Toki Mambare confirmed their position in fourth and said they would need to win to make third.

“It’s a must win situation for us, we are confirmed fourth but we will play hard to get to third place,” he said from Port Moresby yesterday.

Morobe is determined to finish third as there are questions over whether development side Besta PNG United can qualify for the Oceania Champions League.

It could not be confirmed with the NSL management yesterday afternoon on this issue, but Mambare said his club will push for answers.

He said Morobe now had the support from the other franchises in Oro, Eastern Stars and Welgris Highlands to beat Gigira.
