Overseas trip for Madang councillors

 IT was a historic trip for a local level government in Madang.

A total of 30 members from the Ambenob LLG are in Jayapura, Indonesia.

The trip was organised by former MP Nixon Duban.

Duban told the group about the trip sometime last year when making a cheque presentation.

For most of the members, this was first time they left the country and the two-week trip would open their eyes.

The councillors, from both North and South Ambenob,  were handpicked by Duban from the 33 wards.

Also included wereseveral village recorders.
