Awareness underway

A COMMUNITY group in Aviamp, Jiwaka, is conducting awareness on local level government elections and good governance.
The Pazen community development association started its awareness campaign last Wednesday at Kaip on the border of Hagen Central, Western Highlands, and Jiwaka.
Association chairman Ratu Mara told The National on Friday at Kudjip that they have so far covered Wurp, Avi, Kindeng, Kumbal and Minj.
Mara said that this week they would visit remote areas like East Kambia and Jimi electorates before visiting schools in the province.
He said the group educated people on qualities of good leadership, giving chances to people with disabilities to vote, the limited preferential voting system (LPV) and local level government strategy.
