Officer urges Powi to distribute task

 SOUTHERN Highlands Governor William Powi was urged to distribute responsibility and equal task to all district in the province without entertaining sweet talk and influence.

Kagua-Erave electorate public relations officer Terry Mapo said this in Mt Hagen in response to a report in this paper on Wednesday by the Tungup tribe and the surrounding communities living near Mendi town, asking Powi to appoint one of their representatives to take up the deputy-governor’s post.

The Tungup tribe and the surrounding communities have asked Powi to appoint Solomon Makuse Timbol to be the deputy-governor.
