Simwale pots 17 goals to lead Westpac to a win

WESTPAC goal shooter Pattyana Simwale sunk a personal tally of 17 goals to lead her side to a 25-22 victory over a charging Investment Promotion Authority (IPA) outfit.
The first premier match of the day, once again saw veteran Julienne Maliaki, lead the chase for IPA with a “nutty” 13 points, against her name.
However, Maliaki’s younger sister and PNG Pepes skipper Mona-Lisa Leka once again dominated centre court, with quality service for shooter Simawale.
In the third game, Brian Bell 1’s hot form continued, with a 34-11 “clipping” of Daltron.
The goal attack combination of shooter Lina Raka Senior (GS), and Lalelatu Ula (GA) is proving to be a formidable partnership in the competition, as they returned from an underperforming 11-8 first half to close shop at the ring.
Ula at her best, pounced on all loose passes, capitalising and setting up her Raka Senior.
Captain Carolyn Genaia (GD) once again held the forth at the back in defence, restricting her opponents to a luckless three points in the second stanza.
Genaia was well assisted by Lucy Emboge (GK).
The other match of the day between BSP1 and Air Niugini1 was a close encounter at opposite rings, eventually won by the bankers, 26-24.
