A TRAINING institution has presented a report on how it used funds from the National Capital District TVET scholarship scheme.

The IT Job Training Centre to become accountable to the technical vocational education training scholarship office and provided a financial report on the 68 TVET sponsored students at the centre this year.  NCD TVET scholarship coordinator Julius Tamah said the centre had done a tremendous job.

“We have this programme for the last four years and it is the first time to receive a report on how the funds for sponsored students were spent,” he said.

“I urged other institutions who receive TVET sponsorship to do the same.” The centre said two principles it promoted were trust and responsibility.

“You have the trust in us that we will spend the funds to train the students,” a spoke person says.

“As such we have this responsibility to spent accordingly and report to you because you have the trust in us and gave us the funding.” The spokesman said it was a great opportunity for students to study at the centre because the training we providedwas competent and provided by certified trainers.

“And we also have arrangements with companies and organisations to make it easier for them to secure job after the graduation.”
