A lot of work for Jiwaka authority

Letters, Normal

ON behalf of the Okan tribe, I would like to congratulate the newly appointed Jiwaka Transitional Authority (JTA) chairman Philip Kapal.
He has years of experience and commands respect within the Jiwaka communities.
The JTA must look into the following:
1. Current state of facilities such as schools, health, agriculture, commerce and police stations;
2. Tackle law and order issues, especially crimes related to drugs and homebrew;
3. Our feeder roads and bridges are in dire need of maintenance;
4. Accommodations for public servants and evict so-called landowners who have taken over houses owned by the state;
5. Review current logistic support to all service-providing institutions; and
6. There must be political will to work with the JTA. We cannot afford divisions at this critical time.
