FOR the first time under the new government directives, central agencies and key development partners will visit provincial and district administrators for one-on-one consultation.

Department of Personnel Management (DPM) Secretary John Kali said yesterday that Abau district in Central would be the first to be visited tomorrow after the parties signed an agreement yesterday.

“The signing will be done after issues under leadership, human resource management, financial management, procurement and project management have been identified in a two-day workshop,” he said.

“The workshop we are conducting for Southern region was also conducted in the other three regions with a purpose to strengthen collaboration in capacity building for service delivery at all government agencies.

“Till then the provincial administrators would have told us why basic services such as education, health and road infrastructure have not been delivered efficiently.

“As central agencies and development partners, we will identify the issues and provide assistance to address the problems.

“Fortunately, Central is the first province to be consulted and we plan to do this for the other provinces and districts as well.

Provincial and Local Government Affairs Secretary Munare Uyassi said his department was working in collaboration with DPM to ensure that central agencies delivered the services to the districts.

“The one-on-one consultation for other provinces is expected to be conducted within a year.”
