ABG presents K761mil budget to Ling-Stuckey

THE Autonomous Bougainville Government (ABG) presented its K761 million budget plan to Treasurer Ian Ling-Stuckey recently.
The budget was passed by the ABG on Dec 21 last year.
“In the budget presented, additional to these national funds, Bougainville has internal revenue of K50 million.
“Good progress is being made in generating more internal revenue, although it still represents less than 10 per cent of the funds being provided by the national government in the 2024 Bougainville budget presentation,” Ling-Stuckey said.
Robin Wilson, who is Minister for Treasury and Finance in the ABG said: “substantial amounts of funds for the people of Bougainville in the 2024 Budget, with a total allocation of K415 million. In addition to this allocation, the ABG has an estimated K295 million in re-appropriated funds.”
