A MAN charged with damaging a company vehicle has been acquitted because police are yet to present their case in court more than three months after the alleged offence.
Waigani Committal Court Magistrate Tracy Ganaii discharged the charge against Manu Joe after his lawyer Agnes Peter from the Public Solicitors Office submitted that the matter be struck out.
Joe, of Tapini’s Korovavu in Central, was alleged to have damaged the glass of a bus belonging to a company on Oct 25 last year.
The damage was estimated at K1,200.
