A WOMAN accused of stealing K160,683.70 from the Eliseo Group of Companies made her second court appearance on March 25.
Committal Court Magistrate Paul Puri Nii, in Waigani, adjourned her matter to April 25, after prosecutor Sgt Peter Samghy said March 25 was Michaelyn Steven’s second mention date and police were still doing investigations and were yet to produce a hand-up brief.
Steven’s K3000 bail was extended with conditions.
Steven, 23, from Waima village in Kairuku, Central, was employed as a cashier when she allegedly stole the money from the firm’s Gerehu shop in the National Capital District.
Her alleged accomplice is facing court over the alleged offence.
Police claimed that the alleged offence was committed between last year and Feb 8.
