Address corruption in PNGDF recruitment

Letters

THE Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF) recruitment office is corrupt and needs immediate attention by relevant authorities.
Are they willing to lose the integrity of this very important Government institution?
With observation on previous and the recent recruitment drive, you wonder where this institution is heading because there is bribery and favouritism going on in the recruitment process.
You will notice, overage, married individuals and even those who do not qualify and fail tests during the recruitment are being pushed through either through bribery or wantok system.
People who are supposed to be protecting this institution and the country are now thinking of their pockets and their own lives and bringing the level and integrity of the PNGDF to a low standard.
If you are a real Papua New Guinean, do the right thing.
Do things on merit.
Don’t entertain corrupt practices because in the long run, your children, your grandchildren and your great grandchildren and all of Papua New Guinea will be impacted by what you do today.
