Address doubts on Covid vaccines

Letters

CORONAVIRUS (Covid-19) is currently a prevalent health issue in Papua New Guinea and the rest of the world.
The Government is facing a dilemma to either force people to take the Covid-19 vaccine or let them decide for themselves.
The Government is encouraging people to get vaccines but many are reluctant to do so.
Businesses are encouraging their employees to get vaccinated as well.
But many refuse to get jabbed because of many reasons.
I think the Government should provide extensive awareness with concrete evidence based on research to address the doubts and questions on people’s minds.
I suggest for businesses to review the “no jab, no job” policy and make necessary amendments to establish a balance or completely revoke the policy and strictly implement the safety protocols in the workplace with related penalties.
The rights of people to freedom cannot be deprived pursuant to the following sections of human rights under the Constitution.
To ensure that all people from the rural and urban areas get vaccinated, the mentioned approaches should be considered by the Government and businesses.
I think the Government should cut down on development projects at this point in time and allocate adequate funds for districts to fight Covid-19.
