THE East New Britain administration has pledged its support to Governor Nakikus Konga to further develop the province.
Acting provincial administrator Levi Mano congratulated Konga after an election petition against him was dismissed on the grounds of incompetency last week by the Court of Disputed Returns in Kokopo.
He said the matter caused a lot of anxiety among East New Britain people.
Mano thanked both parties for allowing the hearing to proceed without any disturbance by supporters.
He said this was a sign of respect, trust, maturity and confidence in the impartiality of the justice system.
“I would like to assure Konga, his provincial executive council members, and members of the provincial assembly of the support of the administration,” Mano said.
“We will mobilise support from all development partners within East New Britain to further develop the province, districts and local level governments for the prosperity of all families. It is now back to business.”
