Adult literacy looked into

 A PROPOSAL to address functional adult illiteracy is a project taken on by PNG Education Advocacy Network.

Its executive director Priscilla Kare, the instructional adviser in the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) Port Moresby literacy for life training (project) funded by ADRA Australia, said there were no government plans to look into the problem.

“In the last session of the training, the participants were asked to do up a proposal to include adult literacy in the 2014 government budget,” she said.
