IT’S a big day of reckoning for the Dockers and the Gordon Kokofas tomorrow in the grand final of the Port Moresby AFL.

Both teams have had a killer season and they will enter Amini Park hungrier than ever but only one will leave the paddock as premiers.

The Dockers will be going in as favourites after a dominating season and if they manage to get over the line, it will be their third AFL premiership since 2001 after entered the competition in 1996.

The Kokofas will be going for their first premiership after finishing second best to University Tigers in last year’s grand final.

The Kokofas are coming off a classic win over the Taurama Suns in the preliminary final re-play last week and many people will be expecting them to do it again, with what was undoubtedly their best attack in AFL this year.

The Dockers, on the other hand, have had a three-week break after their comfortable win over the Taurama Suns in the qualifying final four weeks ago but they should be on equal ground with the Kokofas with their all-round attacking prowess.

In order for the Kokofas to lift the Bank South Pacific Cup, they will need to break down the Dockers defence and dominate the match.

The Dockers have a 2-0 stand-out statistics over Kokofas this season  but cannot rely on the past as the Kokofas boast of winning games in close encounters.
