AFL, Tribal Foundation join forces for community welfare

AFL PNG and the PNG Tribal Foundation recently launched a Pilai Long Senis (We Play for Change) initiative to see AFL and community welfare brought together.
West New Britain will be the first province to experience the programme.
The initiative combines successful programmes from the two organisations: PNG Tribal Foundation’s Senisim Pasin (Change Your Ways) video presentations, and AFL PNG’s Niukick clinics.
Harnessing the power of sport to bring people together, Pilai Long Senis will engage communities and deliver information about healthy lifestyles, inclusion, and gender appreciation.
PNG Tribal Foundation director of operations Ruth Kissam said: “We are pleased to launch Pilai Long Senis. Our presentations inspire gender appreciation in communities, and our partnership with AFL PNG is a natural fit.”
The first Pilai Long Senis event will be in Bialla today, followed by Kimbe on Friday and Hoskins on Sunday.
The events have been organised with the support of the WNB AFL council.
The PLS programme is supported by the Australian government.
