AIR Niugini has adjusted its flight routes from Port Moresby to Madang and onto Wewak because of the current volcanic activity at Kadovar and Biem islands in East Sepik.
The airline will temporarily re-route its Wewak flights PX126 and PX123 to and from Madang and suspend overnights in Wewak.
From Sunday, Jan 21, to March 24, PX126 in the afternoon will fly from Port Moresby to Wewak and then onto Madang where the aircraft will stay overnight.
The flight will depart Port Moresby at 2.50pm and arrive in Wewak at 4.10pm.
It departs Wewak for Madang at 4.40pm, arriving at 5.20pm.
The daily morning flight from Wewak (PX123) will operate from Madang to Wewak and on to Port Moresby. It departs Madang at 6am to Wewak, arriving at 06.40am.
It then departs Wewak at 7.10am and arrives in Port Moresby at 8.30am
