Air Niugini is set to deliver better outcomes for businesses and people in Lae after sealing a cargo-delivery partnership with Express Freight Management (EFM).
The national airline, through its subsidiary Air Niugini Cargo Ltd (ANCL), has partnered with Lae-based EFM – an established shipping, port and
container agency – to transport cargo in and out of Lae.
ANCL general manager Gus Kraus said the company would to work with EFM to deliver better outcomes for businesses in Lae.
Goods, upon arrival at Nadzab, will be delivered to Lae by EFM.
Kraus said the partnership was timely with the Nadzab airport development to start inext year.
“There won’t be any need to make costly trips to and from the airport, including waiting for delayed or cancelled planes,” he said.
“We would like nothing better than to serve Lae with a daily freighter.”
Meanwhile, Air Niugini will start flying to the Chinese city of Shanghai on Oct 23, Kraus said.
