TRAVELLERS flying Air Niugini to Hong Kong from Port Moresby can enjoy convenient connections after the airline revised its Hong Kong schedule.
The new schedule is effective from Jan 23.
Under the revised schedule, PX 008 from Port Moresby to Hong Kong departs at 11.45am instead of 2.45pm.
The aircraft arrives in Hong Kong at 4.20pm.
The return flight (PX 009) on Tuesday departs Hong Kong at 12.15am and arrives in Port Moresby at 9am.
Similar to Monday’s flight, PX 008 (POM/Hong Kong) on Wednesday will depart at 11.45am instead of 2.45pm.
The return flight (PX 009) on Thursday will now depart Hong Kong at 4.50am and should arrive in Port Moresby at 1:35pm.
Under the current schedule, this flight departs Hong Kong at 7am and arrives in Port Moresby at 3.45pm.
Air Niugini chief executive officer Wasantha Kumarasiri said the revised schedule would ensure easy connections for North and South bound passengers to connect to and from Port Moresby to Hong Kong.
“The revised Hong Kong schedule allows our passengers on PX 101 from Lae, PX 125 from Madang and PX 275 from Rabaul easy connections from Port Moresby to Hong Kong.
“These flights arrive in the morning and have sufficient time to connect to Hong Kong.
“The arrival time in Hong Kong also provides an excellent same-day connection to mainland China,” he said.
The return flight from Hong Kong to Port Moresby on Tuesday and Thursday also provides good connection for passengers to domestic ports.
Kumarasiri said the new schedule suited specific needs providing significant connections to many ports in Papua New Guinea and Asia.
