Airline decries oil spill on airport runway

AIR Niugini chief executive officer (CEO) Bruce Alabaster says delay of flights and closure of airports affect both domestic and international earnings.
“The cancellation of flights into Kagamuga airport in Western Highlands due to an oil spill on the runway (possible sabotage) is not only costly to the economy, it also inconveniences air passengers, your wantoks,” he added.
“Businessmen in Mt Hagen give you jobs and they are affected by such irresponsible acts.”
