PNG Air’s latest addition to the fleet is a Dash-8 freighter which has been in the past two months helping to keep freight around the country flowing.
It was used recently to take supplies to the earthquake-affected areas in the Highlands.
“Our goal is always to provide our freight customers with a higher quality, highly efficient service,” chief commercial officer Paul Abbot, pictured, said.
“With its four-tonne uplift capacity, we have used the freighter to move bulky and oversized goods and to assist when there are periods of peak demand.
“The Dash-8 offers an ideal solution for companies looking for an affordable bulk carriage solution.”
Abbot said the passenger fleet still retained the ability to be configured to provide supplementary support to the freighter.
It provides even more options for freight companies and customers wanting to move goods around the country.
“Whether companies are looking to move fresh produce, oversized and bulky freight or simply commercial goods, the Dash-8 freighter offers a very cost effective and reliable option,” Abbot said.
“Our cargo division have a justifiably high profile for their ability to move freight quickly and eliminate build-up and delays.
“The addition of this latest aircraft has further enhanced that position.”
